The “MODERN” Look

What a great way to end the year !!! Modern Salon December issue celebrates the classic Hollywood woman, by showcasing amazing hairstyles, with beautiful  haircolor. Orchestrated by the one and only Oribe, the magazine pushes the limits when colorist Anthony Palermo suggested a modern blue Sofia Lauren look,  end result, Bellisimo!!!!

Living Dolls

This year at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week the “it” designer to watch Rafael  Cennamo had his ultimate dream come true….. to create a line of glamorous dresses worn by models that looked like living dolls.With the help of our creative director Leonard Zagami and his amazing team, we are sure he will finally have a good night sleep. Not only did the girls resemble barbies, the non walking presentation at Lincloin Center’s “Box” made it unbeilivably convincing!

2nd Annual Fashion’s Night Out

After three days of continuous rain and grey skies here in NYC,  FNO emerges with bright colors and dryer crowds of the fiercest fashionistas in the world. Vogue’s high priestess, Anna Wintour, created the evening years ago to evoke the economy, it then became a night of fabulous people in their best threads, making their rounds from store to store and  flashing the latest styles.

Anthony Leonard Salon participated this year by honoring noted sculpter/artist Salvatore Zagami bringing his personal collection for viewing to NYC after being in museams across the country .  We also celebrated our blog anniversary that attracted A-list celebrities,  leggy models, ice cold champagne, and a Cuban African band that rocked the beauty temple all night long. A great night in NYC,  and an amazing way to  kick off Mercedes Benz Fashion Week! Till next year, FNO……The world is better place now that you are here!

Dump. Trucks = Slammin’ Lunch

Sick of ordering lunch from the same 3 places?  Add Rickshaw’s Dumpling Bar to your must-try-something-different list.  The cool thing about this place is that they sell their amazingly delicious dumplings out of trucks around the city.  Find out which day of the week they will be near you and get on it. They even started making uniquely flavored ice pops, like Thai Coffee and Mango Lassi. Only downside:  You may have to wait on line, but it’s well worth it!
